Strategic Payments Strategy

$295.00

Presented by: Dan Fisher

What do payments have to do with today's banking strategy?

Why do I need a remote deposit product and isn't internet banking and direct deposit enough?

The technology demographics of banking are changing fast. The product features that appeal to Baby Boomers and Gen X customers don't even connect with the Gen Y and the emerging market called Generation T customers!

More importantly, these retail customers are rapidly becoming your small business customers and soon will be your large commercial clients. Failing to recognize the changing trends will place your future banking relationships at risk and significantly hinder your market competitiveness. The worst case scenario is by the time you realize that you are losing customers they will already be gone!

ACH, Remote Deposit, the internet, check-21 and debit cards have changed all of the rules and every customer is at risk of being attracted away from your financial institution!

Your financial institution needs to develop a relevant payments product strategy the can keep pace with the changing technology expectations of your customers and keep you competitive. Understanding the trends in payments and creating a payment product strategy for your organization could be one of the most import decisions you will make in the next five years.

This webinar will discuss the technology and customer service implications of each of the five customer demographic categories with a specific focus on Gen X, Gen Y and Gen T (the new kid on the block).

Finally, getting started on developing a payments strategy that will guide your institution should be your first priority! This webinar will help you identify what the next steps should be.

At the end of this session, the participant will have an up to date understanding of:
  • What are the emerging trends?
  • What the hot technologies are and how they relate to banking.
  • What the emerging payment system products are, what is coming and how to begin to position your financial institution in preparing for the future
  • What is the fastest growing payment system?
  • Is PayPal for real?
  • How will contactless payments affect my organization?
  • What is a de-coupled debit card?
  • What is a card-less system?
  • Do I need and image exchange relationship with my core application vendor?
  • Do I need a bill pay product?
  • Why bother with Check-21 if checks are going away?
  • Do we need a Real Time internet bank?
  • What is the push versus pull information model?
  • What is STP?
