The FDIC has just issued a Financial Institution Letter (FIL-3-2012) on "Payment Processor Relationships - Revised Guidance." The letter instructs FDIC-supervised financial institutions of all sizes to exercise additional care when establishing relationships with vendors that offer payment processing.

The question is; are community banks being targeted by fraudsters when it comes to payment technology?

The answer is that technology adds to complexity of relationships and can be exploited by fraudsters if the appropriate level of due diligence and care is not applied by financial institutions. Community financial institutions can find understanding and managing risk a daunting task and fraudsters know this.

The objective of this webinar is to provide the participant with a comprehensive review of the all technology-related guidance recently issued, and to discuss the regulatory trends and the components of a vendor outsourcing agreement. Paul and Dan will review FDIC, FRB, OCC and FFIEC guidance in the areas of ACH, RDC, Internet banking and payment processing.
