Lending is complicated, and one of its most complicated facets is the proper way for secured parties to protect their rights in collateral by perfecting their security interests. Accordingly, understanding the new amendments to Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code is important. With that understanding, banks and their lenders can work to prevent potential problems before they happen. A solid lending practice requires knowledge and an understanding of how to manage the lending process and the bank's borrower after the loan has closed. It is a big mistake to think that even the most basic lending transactions are not wrought with pitfalls. This "must attend" session will overview the amendments to Revised Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, and allow an opportunity to have some of your bank's lending questions answered.

  • Knowing what name to put on financing statements starting July 1, 2013
