Presented by: Jack Holzknecht
WHAT?
Recently Jack had a call from a very confused banker. She was trying to clarify when action was required under Regulation B (ECOA), Regulation C (HMDA), Regulation X (RESPA), and Regulation Z (TILA). These are topics that he has worked with for decades and understands well, but by mid-call she had him spinning. So he called a time out and they went back and reviewed basic definitions and got it all worked out.
That is what Jack does in this program - review basic definitions and rules to eliminate confusion on the topic of when a mortgage loan application is an application.
WHY?
Upon completion of this program, participants understand:
- The definitions of the term "application" for purposes:
- Regulation B;
- Regulation C;
- Regulation X; and
- Regulation Z.
- The definitions of "preapproval" and "prequalification"; and
- Actions are required by each regulation when an application for a mortgage loan is received.
Participants receive a detailed manual that serves as a handbook long after the program is completed
