BVL Vol. 10: Protecting Customer Privacy


This is a great tool for new hire orientation. The real-life scenarios deliver the privacy message to each participant, regardless of his/her job responsibilities. We require each new hire to view the video as part of our orientation day process. Each person is provided a copy of our privacy disclosure along with a brief one-page outline of our procedures for safeguarding customer information (i.e., ID steps to guard against pretext telephone calling, document destruction, maintaining confidentiality of customer information, etc.). This process insures that our policy and procedure messages are clearly disseminated to all personnel.

The only suggestion I would have to improve the video for our use would be to incorporate FCRA/FACT Act affiliate opt out information (or have a separate video available that would include this info). Thanks, BOL!
